About Al Mouj Golf

The Al Mouj Golf course, which hosts the European Tour’s Oman Open, meanders along a two-kilometre stretch of pristine coastline with the stunning Hajjar mountain range in the background. At 7,342 yards long, the 18-hole championship course is Oman’s first links style course that offers amateurs and professionals a challenging, yet rewarding, game of golf. The greens are fast and true, the bunkers suitably penal and there is some tough rough if you go far off line.

Greg Norman designed the course after carefully studying the topography and weather conditions of the site and using his years of experience playing top golf courses around the globe. The result is that every hole has its own unique character. Highlights include a daunting Par 3 island green and a challenging Par 5 that stretches for over 600 yards. The signature hole is the 2nd, a stunning Par 3. The toughest is the 18th where only a great tee shot will give you the opportunity to chase the flag with your approach.

The par 3-course at Al Mouj Golf consists of 9 par-3 holes ranging in length from 87 to 151 yards. It is a short and varied course with contrasting holes of different difficulty levels to appeal to all standards of golfer. Not to mention that it is floodlit and provides an exciting night golf experience

Complementing the Championship Course are world-class facilities including a teaching academy, Academy retail shop, floodlit driving range and restaurant.
