Jumeirah Golf Estate has two Greg Norman designed championship courses: Earth and Fire that are inspired by the great parkland courses of Europe and North America. Fire is the perfect complement to its sister course, Earth. While the latter is big and bold, Fire is a more classical, subtle course, which combines rustic tones with native grasses to produce a unique aesthetic and offer golfers an entirely different, but no less rewarding challenge.
Fire is an 18-hole, par-72 course with a creek meandering around it and a challenging topography. It demands a well-thought-out strategy and going directly at the flag may not always be the best approach, which gives Fire a strong sense of classic links-style play. The back nine offers two or three great birdie opportunities, and Fire’s greens are regarded as more ‘manageable’ than Earth’s super-fast ones. With the wind behind you, the greens can be reached in two shots on the par-5s, so putting for an eagle is a possibility. Fire is rightly regarded as one of the region’s finest courses as it provides a true test of golf, but also a realistic one.
The Clubhouse at Jumeirah Golf Estates offers a wide range of dining options from early morning to late evening. All restaurants have panoramic terrace areas to enjoy Al Fresco dining during cooler months. The Clubhouse also presents a range of the finest offerings and facilities for golf, sports and leisure enthusiasts.
