About The Address Montgomerie

The 18-hole, 72-par links-style championship golf course designed by Colin Montgomerie is situated at The Address Montgomerie, one of Dubai’s most exclusive residential areas. The course covers 265 acres, which consist of 123 acres of turf, 14 lakes, 93 acres of landscaped gardens and 81 large bunkers.

The course provides the player with undulating ‘links land’ style fairways with generous landing areas, which challenge all levels of players. Although large in size, the greens can be very misleading, especially as they are consistently rolling above 9.5 feet. A grand total of 14 lakes and 81 bunkers provide a decent test for golfers of every level. Plenty of shape throughout the greens can result in some very challenging putts.

One of the signature holes is the par 5 4th, dubbed the Snake hole for its saddleback fairway which doglegs towards the green, with two bunkers behind forming the eyes of the snake.

Further on, the par 5 9th, with water down the left, is a tough finish to the opening half. The par 3 13th, a hole designed in the shape of the UAE, boasts a 360-degree teeing area around an island fairway and green, allowing for a completely different golf hole to be played every time. However, it is the par 5 18th that offers a more classic test.

The main clubhouse boasts 21 boutique rooms and four restaurants and lounges, including Nineteen (a sports lounge overlooking the 18th hole), Monty’s (named after course designer Colin Montgomerie), and Monty Cristo’s (which boasts an impressive selection of appetisers and tapas). This extravagance stretches out on to the golf course with a refreshment cabin on every nine.

The Academy Troon Golf is the golf practice facility of the Address Montgomerie and is one of the best in Dubai. There is a world class swing studio, a tasking 9-hole par 3 academy course,  not to mention a nine-pitch and putt holes for practice.
