The 5-star W Abu Dhabi - Yas Island, formerly known as the Viceroy Abu Dhabi, has undergone a major refurbishment. What hasn’t changed, is that it remains the only hotel in the world, located atop an F1 track, plus its unique design, means it is set half on land and half on water.

Saadiyat Beach Golf Club, the Arabian Gulf's first beachfront course, also brings land and water into play. The 18-hole 72 par course, designed by Gary Player, has slightly undulating terrain, while one-third of the course offers spectacular views of the Gulf.
